A busy mall in Chennai city gets hijacked by an international terrorist organization in demand of release the head of the terrorist organization. Indian government sets up a negotiation with the team head Althaf (Selvaragavan). He starts negotiating with a terrorist organization. He finds out his ex-colleague former RAW agent Veera Raghavan (Vijay) is inside the mall and seeks help from him to rescue the hostages from the terrorists. Veera Raghavan (Vijay) is a RAW agent, who has quit work after a young civilian died when he was carrying out his mission. The former RAW agent starts his mission inside the hijacked place against the terrorists. What happens next rest of the story is narrated with Nelson’s humorous and action storytelling.

The film was released on 13 April 2022 across India. Critic M Suganth from Times of India gave 2.5 stars out of 5 stars and noted that In his previous films, Kolamaavu Kokila and Doctor, director Nelson mined humor out of situations that hardly would have come across as funny on paper. In Beast, too, he takes a backdrop that is serious – a hostage situation – and tries to make it funny. But this time, he is far from successful. In fact, the film barely delivers the laughs in the places where it should have been funny and makes us break into laugh whenever it tries to be a mass-hero movie. Manoj Kumar R from The Indian Express noted that ” Nelson Dilipkumar could have used this plot set-up to turn in a nail-biting thriller. Instead, he gives us an unapologetic crowd-pleaser.” and gave 2.5 stars out of 5 stars.
